I'm a die hard Tali-mancer, but I love mshep/Liara too (they're my second favorite, mshep/Ashley being third, mshep/Miranda being last).

Great couple. Folks can leave the drama at the door as far as fan art goes. =P

Good piece, overall, but Liara's right arm looks like it could use a bit of a rework. Looks a little masculine.

Lovely picture :)

Never saw any hate. Ok, there was this one idiot who spammed DA with some kind of mass effect relationship charts, but he was equally hated by everyone.

I think people are confusing hate with the fact that there are simply more people who meet all of these conditions at the same time: played as femshep, draw fanart, romanced liara.

Maybe there is something I don't know about, because my fandom doesn't go beyond DA+tumblr - if so then it's a shame. Hating on something that you are not obligated to ship is just stupid.

I like the couple but I have to admit that Liara doe shave strong Mary Sue/Preferred by Creators aura to her.

This is lovely! As to why this couple may be disliked so strongly is because there is more focus on Tali and some of the human female companions. That and there's some sort of bad rap for Asari, though I don't know why. But this is beautiful. I ship maleshepardxliara!

Actually no, Liara is more popular LI than Tali. It's just there are more people who ship Liara with FemShep than MShep.

It's not that fans hate ShepxLiara in general, it's just hat a lot of fans specifically hate MaleShepxLiara. I'm not saying everyone, I'm not generalizing. But it's an uncommon and unpopular pairing in comparison with FemShepxLiara.

I see, that does make sense. I'm sorry, I'm new to the Mass Effect series but that's what I managed to figure from other players on the multiplayer games for ME3. They did not seem to like Liara very much, save for the few who did. I'm just indicating what I think might be the reason for little MaleShep and Liara pictures on DA.
